Google is taking its
Pixel devices to a new race, and the
Tensor chip is the key card. Both
Pixel 10 and
Pixel 11 have been a hot topic, associated with an array of speculated features, mainly revolving around camera enhancements including
4K60 HDR recording, upgraded
Night Sight Videos, as well as an advanced processor. Tensor G5 and G6 are expected to bring core configurations, efficiency upgrades and a revamped GPU, embedding actions on the device rather than the cloud.
Two new Tensor-based SoCs called Laguna and Malibu will reportedly be built using TSMCβs 2nm and 3nm architectures. Still, sources suggest that Tensor's upcoming chips might lag behind their peers from Apple and Qualcomm. More notably,
Tensor is reportedly branching out to wearable devices with
Pixel Watch 5 likely to receive a custom Tensor chips, pioneering AI and efficiency potentials in the domain.
Tailoring chips to specific needs, Google may also be planning a 'nerfed' Tensor G6 variant for Pixel 11a and Pixel Tablet 3.
Tensor Ventures recently announced a hefty β¬50 Million Deep-Tech Fund and there's been a leak suggesting significant efficiency upgrades with the Tensor G4 in the Pixel 9.
In a unique stride, Google is said to be realising the power of
Photonic tensor core and has ventured into modules that are efficient for
Ai processing. Notably, Tensor.Art has emerged as a VisionAI resource Hosting Platform, fueling enterprise AI.
