Tether-linked USDT0 and XAUT0 have been launched on Solana via
LayerZero to provide enhanced security and connectivity.
Stargate Finance (STG) token will merge into LayerZero (ZRO), supported by Bitvavo and approved by DAO. Despite controversies over an allegedly flawed buyout offer by LayerZero, it also pioneered a significant move proposing an acquisition of Stargate bridge retiring STG for ZRO tokens.
The technology by LayerZero has massively expanded, including into PayPal's PYUSD stablecoin, extending to nine new blockchain networks and, additionally, TRON, Avalanche, Sei and others. The expansion was also marked by enabling BTC Transfers across 11 major blockchains for Bitcoin DeFi project BOB, and integration into its cross-chain bridge network for Solana. The launch of a network for migrating crypto game assets in partnership with Ubisoft further continues the expansion.
Heavy investments have been witnessed for LayerZero, including a16z Crypto purchasing $55M worth of ZRO and Advent acquiring a stake to scale manufacturing capacity meeting the surging AI demand. LayerZero Power Systems' substantial achievement was the creation of 535 jobs through an expansion supported by state tax credit, with another milestone being acquired by a Global private equity firm for a staggering $1 billion. LayerZero's reach has also touched Wyoming with plans to launch its state-backed stablecoin WYST, using LayerZero technology in July.
Prominent LayerZero's activities include enabling Cross-Chain Interoperability for Quantoz Stablecoins EURQ and USDQ, initiating buyback of 50 million ZRO from early backers and facilitating omnichain wstUSR with OVault for seamless cross-chain staking. Despite regulatory scrutiny in South Korea and risk of price drop occurrence, LayerZero's consolidation plays, product launch, proposals, bids and partnerships indicate an aggressive strategic growth.
