Highstreet, an insurance entity known for its acquisition strategies, secured a
$550M growth capital from Ares-led funding primarily for M&A activities. It recently made several acquisitions including
Georgia-based Winder Insurance Center,
Siebert Insurance,
Collum Insurance Group and more, which has largely expanded its presence in the central region. In line with these inner-industry changes,
Highstreet also made executive moves by appointing
Stazzone as the President of Industry Solutions. The firm also created a new subsidiary,
Brightstone, with
Goodreau appointed as its CEO. On the financial front,
UK high street banks experienced a significant loss of £100bn in deposits as customers are shifting towards online rivals. Amid its business growth, community-oriented activities such as
Social Fridays and wellness-centric events have become an integral part of
Highstreet's corporate culture. In addition to its insurance ventures,
Highstreet is also making strides in real estate with projects such as transforming a Buckeye Church Property into 510 apartment units. Several concerns are, however, emerging around the mushrooming of high-street slot machines and high levels of crime on the high street.
