Bulgaria is set to
adopt the Euro in 2026, preserving national symbols on their coins. However, some argue the country has good reasons to say no to the transition. Estonia is releasing a Sipsik-decorated 2-euro coin in addition to the FIS World Cup-themed 5-euro coin from Austria, and there have been recent design confirmations for the new Bulgarian Euro coins. Excitingly, Euro coins are also commemorating landmarks like the
50th anniversary of the European Space Agency (ESA).
Meanwhile, the regulation of
Euro stablecoins continues, with MiCA rules expected to boost their usage.
Binance's Euro-pegged stablecoin, EURI, has been launched recently, offering zero fees. A similar announcement is made by the Banking Circle for EURI.
There has been increasing interest in unique euro coins, such as those decorated with images of popular figures like Cristiano Ronaldo, or those representing countries. These coins carry a significant value in collectors' markets. Coins with errors are also highly sought after due to their rarity and possible high value.
Finally, the European Central Bank is preparing to conclude the setup of an innovation hub
