Elon Musk's company,
xAI, has been in the news due to various reasons ranging from investments, lawsuits, recruitment and partnerships.
BlackRock,
Nvidia,
Microsoft and
Musk's xAI have finalized a
$40B data-center deal.
Nvidia also backs the AI venture with a
$2B investment in a
$20B deal. Similarly,
xAI recruited Nvidia Engineers to develop its Next-Gen ‘World Models’ platform and Musk has committed
$10B to strengthen
xAI. Financial matters also saw xAI propose a
$5B debt raise via Morgan Stanley with a $20B equity round in play, refute a purported partnership with
Toncoin valued at $300M, and
Musk aimed to secure $4.3B to fortify
xAI against
OpenAI.
Legal matters have been a concern for
xAI with multiple trademark infringement suits from Ethereum gaming network Xai.
xAI also ended up in a trade secret tussle with
OpenAI.
Ex-Morgan Stanley Banker Armstrong was appointed as xAI's CFO, however, there was a high executive turnover as
xAI’s Top Lawyer stepped down. In terms of product offerings,
Grok 4 has put xAI back at the top in the language model race and they also teased about Grok upgrades where AI could reveal new physics.
A $300M deal with
Telegram for Grok integration is in the pipelines. Despite a clash with Trump,
Musk's company raised
$10B and secured a
$200B valuation. The firm aims to refocus on AI innovation influencing crypto market sentiment.
