The AI hardware company Tenstorrent has launched its Wormhole Developer Kits that provide powerful AI workstations and are available for pre-order. The Wormhole technology, based on RISC-V, allows for high-end AI development and is attracting a lot of interest. The launch followed a significant event where Wormhole, as a cross-chain app, have continued their push for zero-knowledge proofs with an AMD collaboration, demonstrating its commitment to innovation in the crypto space. Recently, Wormhole raised $225 million at a $2.5 billion valuation, finalizing its split from Jump Crypto.
Apart from the financial success, the technology has attracted some controversy with the airdrop of over 670 million tokens. Nevertheless, it announced staking and governance for W token holders and plans to use AMD chips for scaling 'light client' proofs on its interoperability platform. Part of the innovation with Wormhole is its ability to enable native USDT transfers on Uniswap v3 and its plans to go multichain with native token transfers. However, the recent token airdrop attracted scammers and sparked controversy. Despite these challenges, Wormhole's Solana token managed to recover slightly after plunging 50% following the massive airdrop.
