A gold coin worth around $1,300 was recently donated to a Salvation Army kettle in Phoenix. This comes at a time when bitcoin mining company Phoenix Group has seen a 236% increase in revenue, reaching over $100M in 2024. While this expansion is leading to higher revenues, price predictions for Phoenix Coin in 2025 are not as positive. Phoenix Group has announced its planned expansion to North Dakota, USA, with a new 50MW Bitcoin Mining Facility, making its debut in the American markets.
A significant addition to the crypto world is the emergence of meme coins, with XRP meme coin PHNIX experiencing a 50% surge. However, considering the quick crash of 'Hawk Tuah' girl's cryptocurrency shortly after its launch, the longevity of meme coins is questionable. Despite this, Phoenix Group is extending its global operations, including launching a 50MW crypto mining facility in South Carolina and partnering with Tether to introduce a UAE Dirham-pegged stablecoin.
In a less positive development, the owner of Phoenix Coin Shop has been accused of leaving a customer without goods or payment. Moreover, at least 30 Phoenix officers were linked to a challenge coin tied to hate speech. Being 33-times oversubscribed, Phoenix Group's UAE initial share sale also left a mark. The group also placed a massive order for $650M worth of Crypto Mining Rigs, through a collaboration with TCS COIN and FinTech Scotland.
