Banana Gun, a crypto trading bot on Telegram, experienced a
security breach compromising user funds approximating $3M. The bot was taken offline as the Banana Gun team commenced investigations. Despite this setback,
Banana Gun has promised to fully refund the affected users, thereby absorbing the $3M loss in an attempt to regain user trust. Following the announcement of the refund, the
BANANA token surged by 7%. Less than 10 users were affected by this exploit, with the bot back online and considered secure now.
As a response to the hack, Banana Gun has introduced a
redemption plan and ChatGPT identified a bug in the token's contract. The BANANA token suffered a setback when its value plummeted by over 99% due to a contract bug. Despite clearing two audits, the faulty contract escape detection until the discovery by ChatGPT. Meanwhile, Banana Gun continues to be operational on different blockchain platforms, maintaining a high daily volume of transactions exceeding $16M.
Bad publicity notwithstanding, Binance has listed the Banana Gun token with a 30% increase in value post-listing. The BANANA token continues to maintain a strong position despite the crypto market sell-off, recording a 110% spike.
